Offices and Event Spaces within Jacobus
Executive Meeting Room:
The executive Meeting Room (also known as the small conference room) is adjacent to, and accessible by, the Student Organization Resource Center on the second floor of the Jacobus Student Center. The room features a six-foot conference table that comfortably seats six people. There is also a dry-erase whiteboard that is available for use during meetings in the Executive Meeting Room.
The Executive Meeting Room must be booked at least 48 hours in advance through the Jacobus Student Center booking process.
The game room is located adjacent to the lounge and has excellent views of the city. It is a place for students wishing to play with friends or just looking to take a break. The room has two pool tables, a television, foosball, and a Ping Pong table.
Jacobus Conference Room:
The Jacobus Conference Room (also known as the large conference room) is located on the south end of the Jacobus Student Center on the second floor. The room features a large executive conference table that comfortably seats fifteen people. There are also two dry-erase whiteboards that are available for use during meetings.
The Jacobus Conference Room must be booked at least 72 hours in advance through the Jacobus Student Center booking process.
The Jacobus Lounge is the ideal place to hold meetings and events. With ample space equipped with seating for 25, a large LCD television, and surround sound, it's a space that can be transformed formed to suit your event needs.
The Jacobus Lounge must be booked at least two (2) weeks in advance through the Jacobus Student Center booking process.
Jacobus Dance Studio:
The Jacobus Dance Studio is located in the basement of Jacobus, and is used primarily for dance rehearsals. It has a wooden dance floor, one mirrored wall and one barre wall. The adjoining Cycling Studio is not available for requests.
The Jacobus Dance Studio must be booked at least 48 hours in advance through the Jacobus Dance Studio booking process, otherwise your request will not be accepted.
Student Organization Offices:
You can find the following student organization offices on the second floor: Alpha Phi Omega (APO) -- Campus Ministry-- Entertainment Committee -- Ethnic Student Council (ESC) -- Honor Board -- The Link Residence Hall Association (RHA) -- Stevens Dramatic Society -- Student Government Association (SGA) -- The Stute Student Organization
The Student Organization Resource Center is on the second floor of the Jacobus Student Center adjacent to the Executive Meeting Room. There are many resources available to all student organizations to use. A copy machine, maintained by the SGA through the Jacobus Advisory Board, has password access for each of the student organizations to use for making copies agendas, promotional materials, and other administrative documents. There is also a networked printer that can be printed to from anywhere on the Stevens network.
*Swipe access is required to utilize the Student Organization Resource Center during times other than the standard operating hours listed above. In order to gain swipe access, you will need to fill out the Access Agreement form. Access Agreement forms can be found under the 'Room Reservations' tab of the website.
