Songs and Dances from Distant Lands
Join us for an evening of music performed Dr. Aysegul Durakoglu and Musica Mundana on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 6 p.m. in DeBaun Auditorium, Edwin A. Stevens Hall.
The music will feature composers such as Bartok, Debussy, Liszt, Ravel, and Scarlatti. The concert will also present Azerbaijani, Greek and Sephardic songs.

Dr. Aysegul Durakoglu is an Artist-in-Residence for Piano at DeBaun Center for Performing Arts and has been performing as a concert pianist and chamber musician nationally and internationally. She has performed in prestigious music festivals and concert series throughout the United States, Canada, Russia, and Turkey. Most recently, she has presented a performance project, titled "Musical Journey with the Orient Express" at Jazz at Lincoln Center, and lecture-recitals on the music of Claude Debussy for the composer's 150th birthday.
