DeBaun Center for the Performing Arts
Our mission is to provide a comprehensive performing arts program for Stevens students that it may support and enhance their education at Stevens through hands-on experiences in the performing arts.

STUDY ABROAD
At Stevens, the belief is that an international experience can help individuals develop cultural awareness and broaden their perspectives. Stevens offers its students diverse opportunities for study abroad such as traditional, established programs, as well as short term opportunities. Contact Study Abroad for more information.

ANNUAL STUDENT LIFE EVENTS

Convocation & Club Fair
Wednesday, September 4th, 2013 (1:30pm / 3:00pm)
Canavan Arena
Convocation marks the opening of each academic year and celebrates the arrival of the new freshmen class. The ceremony highlights the importance of the Stevens Honor System and acknowledges the accomplishments of the students and faculty.  Following Convocation, students are encouraged to take part in our annual Club Fair on Palmer Lawn that highlights the 100+ student organizations on campus.

Freshman Parents Weekend
Friday, October 4th & Saturday, October 5th, 2013
Every fall, the Office of Student Life invites the families of our freshmen students to participate Freshmen Parents Weekend. Typically, events include information sessions, tours, a reception, featured athletic events and a performance from one of our campus performing arts groups. For a sample schedule, please visit the webpage from the 2012 event. Registration will open in September 2013. If you have questions, please email Assistant Director of Student Life, Holly Nelson.

Techfest (fall) & Boken (Spring)
TechFest 2013: September 27th/28th, 2013 / Boken 2014: TBD
Techfest and Boken are annual events at Stevens run by student committees that vary from year to year, but typically include live music, activities, and events that are open to all students. In the past these events have featured large scale DJs, high profile musicians, off-campus food vendors, fireworks, and more!

Founder's Day Ball
Every February 15th / Ball 2014: Friday, February 22nd
Stevens celebrates Founder’s Day each year on February 15th. In honor of Founder’s Day, the Student Government Association sponsors a formal ball open to students, guests, and alumni. The event honors the many contributions to the world from members of the Stevens community, past and present.

Habitat for Humanity Alternative Spring Break
March 10th-16th, 2014 - To Be Determined
Each year a group of approximately 10 students apply and are chosen to attend an Alternative Spring Break with Habitat for Humanity where they travel outside of New Jersey to build homes for those in need. Years past the group has traveled to Arizona, Florida, Michigan, and Oregon. Students interested in Alternative Spring Breaks should join the Stevens Habitat for Humanity Chapter and attend local builds year round.

Castle Point Anime Convention
Sunday, April 6th, 2014
This large event is sponsored each year by the Anime Club at Stevens. Typically on a Sunday, Anime enthusiasts from within the Stevens community, the tri-state area, and beyond, join together to celebrate all things Anime. There are artists, vendors, workshops and more. Free to all Stevens students. For more information, please visit the CPAC website.

Unity Carnival
April 9th, 2014
A precursor to Unity Festival, this carnival features the on campus registered student organizations that fall under the umbrella of the Ethnic Student Council. Yearly this event involved cultural games, ethnic foods, face painting, music, and more.

Unity Show
April 11th, 2014
Performances celebrating student culture and heritage including music, drama, and dance. This special yearly event is held in Canavan Arena and is the culmination of Unity events held throughout the week. Peace, Love, and Unity!

Junior Parents Day
April 26th, 2014
Yearly we invite the parents and guardians of our junior class to campus for Junior Parents Day to spend time with their student and learn about how to best prepare them to take on their senior year at Stevens. The weekend features seminars, panels, and optional entertainment. This day also coincides with Spring Sports Day with various campus events for families to enjoy.

Senior Week
May 16-19th, 2014
Comprised of a committee of senior students and advised by the Office of Student Life, Senior Week is a series of events for graduating seniors that lead up to Graduation Day. For more information, contact the Office of Student Life.
